Methoxyethene, also known as methyl vinyl ether (MVE), is a highly reactive gaseous monomer essential for the production of high-performance polymers and specialty chemicals. Its most prominent application is in the synthesis of PVM/MA copolymers (Polyvinyl methyl ether/maleic anhydride), which are widely used as stabilizers, thickeners, and adhesives in the pharmaceutical and oral care industries, particularly in denture adhesives. In the coatings and inks sector, it serves as a critical monomer for manufacturing resins that require excellent flexibility and adhesion.
